Wilma *** The Book

I began to write “Wilma – A Lady of Courage and Dignity” seven years after she went toHeaven. This took me on a two-year emotional roller coaster ride, traveling back and forth through forty-five years of memories. Many tears had been  shed while on this writing  journey but I found it to be a very rewarding and healing process.

This is a humorous and touching story of a couragious woman who loved life and everyone who came into it.

Wilma was born on a farm in rural Ontario. She was stricken with scarlet fever at the age of three and it left her with impaired hearing. In spite of her handicap this spunky farm girl met the challenges of life head-on.

Her love of life and people, especially children was prevelent through her life. Even though her shy,  modest nature kept her in the background, she had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help.

The book tells how she found God in the pages of her Bible and how He gave her strength to deal with the challenges life threw her way. How she handled the storms of life and other chaotic events including  her bravely facing the dreaded cancer that finally took her life.

You may laugh, you may shed a tear, but my hope is that you will indentify with the story of this remarkable lady and the hope and faith she found in God.
